It's been a long time since i played in the field and when i did the 148
was king, now i know you now have another 40 channels, which i think are
the old AM mids but of course FM, am i right?

Also what's the best radio and antenna i should be looking at without
spending stupid money, maybe £300 for radio and antenna, i presume 4
watts is still max nowadays, not that any listens to that i guess.

Last time i was on air were looking at 1990.

You're probably thinking of the 40 FM euro channels. All they're good for
is listening to skip from the continent.

Cobras or midlands. If you get a slightly more expensive radio they can be
set to a specific euro country - which in effect means they have AM ability
as well since some countries - italy and germany IIRC - allow 4W AM. But
only on the euro band.

You might find it a bit quieter these days.

Thanks for the reply buddy, I popped round a m8's house the other day to
have a nose at his set up and it was dead, he is even thinking of
packing up so i don't think i'll bother seems a waste of money to be
honest which is a real shame as it used to be awesome in the old days.
