Hi anybody know where I can get a s/star 360 modded for wider freq coverage,
at the moment it is box standard low-mid-high.
I have another 360 that is way open from 26.ish to around 28.8 or something
like that.
Is there anywhere left that will still mod these radios
cheers

You can add 6 diodes to the back and get 26.065 to 28.305.
If you want that mod i can dig it out for you although it may be on the web
somewhere.
The other way is using an eprom but i dont know who still does that.

Why don't you just leave it alone. Superstar 360's are very old now,
and it's quite hard to find an unmodified example in good condition.

Leave it alone, treasure it, polish it, give it a girls name etc, and
if you want a similar radio to use on air with more channels then go
out and buy a Superstar 3900, they are not expensive.

If you think like that some joker has just listed a 148 on ebay for £250!
Thats nearly as bad as me selling my Jumbo 3 for £300 the other week lol

There is the basic mod of rewiring pins 10-12 of the PLL (MB8719) or you can
use an Eprom board ( bit thin on the ground these days though )
I'll dig out the details and post them here for you

Cheers

Spectrum do a UK 40 board for the Cobra 148 / Superstar 360, but
doesn't have super low and super high programmed in as far as I am
aware.

The diode mod for super low and super high is detailed on Graham's web
site, but please don't do it!
